PLTO Premier League Picks of the Week

by The Yank

Birmingham City-Fulham

Birmingham has picked up the pace over the last three weeks and have not lost a match over the stretch.  Fulham, on the other hand, have not lost in their last five matches so both squads go into this one playing about the best soccer they have played all season.  Expect a low scoring affair.  Fulham 1-0.

Burnley-Aston Villa

Speaking of low scoring matches Burnley has been the king of defense so far this season and the squad looks to be tested by Aston Villa this weekend.  And Burnley will do everything in their power to remain a top ten squad against the fifth place team, but it will likely not be enough.  Aston Villa 2-1.

Chelsea-Wolverhampton

The Blues are still in first place and matches like this one against the Wolves are critical because with plenty of injuries the squad needs to build up a comfortable lead if they want to win the title this season.  the Wolves are the perfect team to lose in fact the new boys have not won a match in over six games now.  Chelsea wins 4-0.

Hull City-West Ham

The fight out of the relegation zone has begun and these two bubble teams both desperately need a win.  Hull city broke a terrible winless streak just a few weeks back, but winning two times in a row?  Lets not get ahead of ourselves.  On second thought…. Why not the Tigers?  If they are ever going to do it now is the time in this home match.  Hull City 2-1

The Final Picks of the Week:

Liverpool 2   Man City 0

Sunderland 1   Arsenal 3

Man U 3   Everton

Tottenham 3   Wigan 1

Stoke City 2   Portsmouth 0

Bolton 2   Blackburn Rovers 1
