Chelsea-Manchester United
First off wowsers! When we say this weekend is a big match we don’t exaggerate (like some other weeks) as number one hosts number two in this fight for the top spot. These two clubs have passed off the honor of being the Premier League’s best week by week and this week seems to be the match where we will find out which team truly is the better squad. Both squads have dropped a match in their last three, but both won last week and go into this week with most of their stars at full health. Who will win? I don’t know for sure, but I am sure Arsenal doesn’t mind the two squads butting heads. I have to go with Chelsea, though, simply because I picked them to win the league title in the preseason.
Final Prediction: 3-2 Chelsea
Tottenham Hotspur-Sunderland
These two squads had a few of the best starts to the year for any Premier League squad. Both have recently slipped in the league table a little bit, but both still have the potential of ending the year in the top six slots. Tottenham is currently in eighth place and has recently struggled to find the back of the net. Last week against the Gunners the squad was shutout. Sunderland (currently in 8th) has been an up and down team all year. A few weeks back the squad beat Liverpool and then lost the next week to Birmingham. This road match for Darren Bent will not get any easier on the underdogs.
Final Prediction: 3-1
Manchester City-Burnley
What is the deal with Burnley? Don’t they know that their supposed to be the perennial doormat for the real Premier League squads? Apparently they did not get that memo, so the new boys continue the good fight. Manchester City, on the other hand, has gotten a case of the draw bug and cooled off over the last few weeks. Expect this one to be low scoring.
Final Prediction: 1-0 Man City
