Chelsea-Arsenal

Arsenal has had a ridiculously tough schedule recently playing Aston Villa, Man U, and now Chelsea in a row and next week they play Liverpool as well.  It could be a winless streak for the striker depleted squad that didn’t step and make a move before the end of the transfer window.  Chelsea is on the top of the league table and just got their best player, Drogba, back from the African Nations Cup.  Looks like some more bad timing for Arsenal.

Final Prediction: Chelsea 3-2

Tottenham-Aston Villa

Aston Villa has the best defensive numbers of any Premier League squad and last month was their most impressive performance of the season.  The club did not give up a single goal all of January and in their last nine matches they have only allowed four total goals.  This weekend they will surely be tested by Defoe (who scored a treble earlier in the week), but we will see if the Spurs have what it takes to remain in the top four despite allowing Keane to move to Celtic.

Final Prediction: Draw 1-1

Liverpool-Everton

Neither of these two clubs lost a single match in January and Everton is currently enjoying a nine match unbeaten streak.  The one problem with that streak is that Everton has tied five out of those nine matches since early December.  Liverpool is currently in fifth place and Tottenham has a tough match this week meaning if the boys can win at home then they might find themselves in the top four once again.

Final Prediction: Liverpool 2-1
