Chelsea defender Jose Bosingwa will be out for around three months after undergoing surgery on his left knee this week, according to Chelsea’s website.
The 27-year-old fullback has been out since mid-October with the problem and will now not return until the new year.
The Chelsea statement said:
“Chelsea Football Club can confirm that Jose Bosingwa underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee this week. His recovery time will be approximately three months.”
This is the second piece of bad news of injury news that Chelski have received this week. Earlier in the week that England defender Ashley Cole will be put for “weeks” after being diagnosed with a depressed fracture of the tibia.
With the selling of Wayne Bridge to Manchester City, Chelsea’s back four was already stretched thin. The only other available defender they have is Alex.
If Cole and Bosingwa are out through the rest of the year, these are the games they will miss
