Bolton midfielder Stuart Holden will be sidelined for up to six weeks after breaking his right leg in the U.S.s’ 2-1 loss to Holland yesterday.
Holden was hurt from a bad tackle by Nigel de Jong that somehow did not even earn the Dutch player a yellow card.
The U.S. Soccer Federation issued a statement Thursday saying that Holden was “recklessly tackled.” The USSF said the bone was the fractured was his fibula.

It might be the biggest January deal of the season. Burnley have announced that manager Owen Coyle has left the club to take over Bolton.
This is a great move for Bolton and will ensure that they avoid relegation this year. For Burnley, who they get to replace Coyle will have a huge impact on whether they stay up or not.

Bolton Wanderers have fired manager Gary Megson this morning.
“Gary Megson has been relieved of his duties as first team manager of Bolton Wanderers Football Club with immediate effect,” a statement on the club’s official website reads. The decision has been taken in the light of the position the club finds itself in the Premier League at the halfway point of the season. Assistant manager Chris Evans and first team coach Steve Wigley will take charge of first team matters for the interim period.
