2009/2010 Predictions: Player & Club Awards

Most Improved Club

This season it is clear that Manchester City is the hungriest squad in all of the Premier League.  Bringing in all of the top level talent that Man City has stocked up is scary for every other club in the league.  We hear at the PLTO think that the Blues will end up in the top 5 this season and will likely be a contender for the title.  The club is still not complete, but with all that offensive firepower it will be hard not to improve on last year’s result.

Most Improved Player

Didier Drogba will put injuries to the side this year and will bounce back to form for the Chelsea Blues in 2009/2010.  The weapons are all in place and with Drogba in the lineup more often he will takeaway many of Anelka’s goals from last season.  Drogba should score double digit goals and lead his club in total goals for the season.

Most Disappointing Squad

Only dropping a tiny bit in the power rankings, Arsenal is no longer a top four squad and is heading in the wrong direction.  The club needs to find a complimentary player to aid Van Persie. Bendtner is a solid player, but has still not yet completely discovered his game.  Arsenal allowing the transfer of Emmanuel Adebayor was among the most disappointing moves of the off season and will hurt the Gunners in the long run especially since they made no effort to fill the gap that the star has left behind.
